PLEASE NOTE: this position is for our afternoon shift from 3pm to 11pm, Monday-Friday.
This position also includes the payment of a SIGN-ON BONUS.
Our Maintenance Millwright is responsible to assemble, install, weld, test and maintain equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools to keep production facilities operable.
Key responsibilities:
• Must have working knowledge and be self-sufficient in performing duties requiring welding, fitting, layout, gears (boxes), hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical, rigging
• Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and troubleshoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations
• Mechanical knowledge of conveying systems, pumps, pneumatic controls • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and maintain other parts of machinery
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
• Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
• Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
• Support Manufacturing and Building PM programs
• Must be able to work safely at heights
• Troubleshoot basic electrical systems

Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to):
• Building maintenance including Welding, Plumbing and general upkeep
• Ensure fellow employees, contractors and visitors are following all applicable quality and food safety procedures and policies.
• Ensure all maintenance related works align with corporate engineering standards including sanitary design, ergonomics, employee safety and food safety requirements.
• Obtains blueprints, drawings, instructional manuals, and special procedures, as needed, from files or other source.
• Work flexible hours when required
Qualifications and skills:
5+ years of Industrial Maintenance with experience in all or some of the following including, but not limited to:
• Process control instrumentation and mechanical power transmission
• Previous experience with piping systems including steam, Air, Water and Chemical
• Knowledge of Boilers, HVAC & Wastewater treatment, and documentation in SAP system
• Certified Millwright License 433A is required
• Refrigerator “B” Operator or higher is an asset
• Electrical, PLC training and experience is an asset
