About the role


Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assistant role will be to help develop, manage and expand the quality management system on site, to resolve non-conformances and put in place effective corrective actions whilst ensuring production and quality standards are maintained.


Key responsibilities


  • Maintain quality management systems to the requirements of GFSI certification, local/regulatory authority compliance and Kosher/Halal/RSPO accreditations
  • Provide site quality expertise and information to internal and external stakeholders on quality queries, including technical document requests on Salesforce
  • Manage all aspects of quality complaints including root cause analysis, customer feedback and CAPA coordination
  • Support customer/external audits including traceability, and coordinate associated CAPA
  • Internal auditor for CCP audits, hygiene audits and other internal quality audits
  • Manage any project work assigned as per business requirements
  • Lead improvements in hygiene and GMP in the factory
  • Support NPI tasks, additional testing requirements, and other general quality work when required
  • Provide food safety and quality-related training to the employees, with support from QM
  • Support the Quality Manager with any other quality-related tasks as required
Qualifications and skills


Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant role in the food manufacturing environment
  • Qualification in a scientific / food technology discipline or equivalent experience
  • Ability to communicate in both German and English languages
  • Proficient in IT systems in particular word/excel/powerpoint
  • Self motivated - able to work with minimal supervision, proactive mindset
  • Customer focused with interpersonal skills (verbal & written)
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, flexible



  • Knowledge of FSSC22000, Kosher / Halal / RSPO / animal feed requirements
  • HACCP trained to a minimum of Level 3, or equivalent knowledge gained by industry experience
  • Experience of managing SAP and Intelex systems
  • Internal audit experience and official training
