Where you'll work:

 Home Based - by major airport to be at or near the plant locations.  Up to 60%+ travel may be required – depending on project(s) location.

If you are looking to join a growing company and enjoy hands on project management in a food manufacturing environment, covering several plants, then we are looking for you!  Every day you will Identify operational challenges, analyze and develop solutions for improvements to support capital projects.

What you'll do:

Under direction of the Director of Project Engineering, the Sr Process Engineer manages projects to meet all technical requirements while assuring they stay on-time and within budget.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:


  • Create capital proposals including scope document, cost estimate, and timelines.
  • Development of a detailed scope of work, creation of equipment specifications, finalizing purchasing documents, creating and maintaining detailed timelines, expediting and receiving material and equipment, and commissioning activities.
  • Develops project specifications by making calculations, preparing process flow diagrams (PFD’s), piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID’s), site and floor plans, elevation drawings, utilities matrices, and other project documentation as applicable.
  • Leads the selection of contractors/vendors in actual design and specifications of installations.
  • Conducts feasibility studies for new or existing systems.
  • Recommends improvements in the area of operational safety for a project.

Qualifications and skills


What you'll need to be successful:

  • Do you have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably a Chemical, Process, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Degree?
  • Do you bring demonstrated (4+ years) years Project / Process Engineering experience and 3+ years in Project engineering related to Food, Beverage, or Pharmaceutical & GMP knowledge is a plus.
  • Versed in project schedules, cost estimating, PFDs, P&IDs, site and elevation drawings, utilities requirements development, interpretation of P&IDs, with a good understanding of process and instrumentation control.
  • Do you have knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations and guidelines and ability to prepare and maintain required documentation? Experience with electrical and control systems is helpful. 
  • Would be a plus to have additional experience with waste water, sustainability,  automation, tanks, boiler installation and replacement, automatic palletizers etc
