About the role
The Inside Sales Representative will have direct account responsibility to nurture and grow a territory of small to mid-size Pharma customers in North America. They will process new leads and be responsible for assisting Sales in finding new customers. They will have responsibilities in assisting the Sales Manager in monthly and quarterly reporting and working with colleagues to achieve this goal. They will also be responsible for outreach campaigns and reporting on these activities. They will work directly with our main distributors for the different product technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a base of small to mid-size NA pharma customers to grow market share and find new opportunities.
- Develop relationships within customers’ organization including R&D, Manufacturing and Procurement to foster counterpart relationships within Kerry.
- Defend current business with established customer base and create and manage total opportunity pipeline of quality growth projects with current and target customers.
- Take a lead role with our distributor providing sales support to their outside sales representatives.
- Provide support to outside sales team (submitting requests to regulatory, quotes, etc.).
- Establish an internal network and having a strong cross functional approach to service customer needs.
- Work closely with customer care team to share visibility on any order delays or supply issues.
- Leverage LinkedIn Navigator to identify new account targets and contacts.
- Provide technical support to the assigned customer base by leveraging internal resources and subject matter experts.
- Continually manage and strengthen customers’ relationship with Kerry.
- Partner with commercial finance and supply chain leads to ensure business forecasts are consistent with expectations.
- Accountable for providing input to and complying (including indirectly through other team members) with all Kerry systems/processes appropriate for this role.
What will you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceuticals, chemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, or related.
- 3+ years proven experience in Pharma/Biotech commercial sales (or technical sales support).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce. Linkedin Navigator is a nice to have.
- Earlier technical/functional experience in R&D, process manufacturing, operations or quality is desirable.
- Relationship builder with excellent communications skills – with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Autonomous and proactive – prepared to spend quality time developing and nurturing multi-level contacts with customers.
- Results driven – focused and motivated to deliver agreed targets on revenue and margin.
- Availability to travel up to 10% for work-related activities.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $91,404 to $138,358 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
