About the role

The HR Director will act as partner and coach business leaders in influencing and executing organisational effectiveness and talent management priorities, aligning to the overall Kerry global and regional IO strategy. The business partner will play a key role in supporting the drive for growth across the End User Market (EUM)/Cluster to deliver the necessary business performance, talent pipeline and high levels of employee engagement. 


This role will report to the head of HR  North America Integrated Operations and will also partner closely with the other region and functional peers, partnering with and acting as a key connector (leveraging CoEs and Global Business Service) providing HR insight, challenging and influencing to support the operational/business objectives for EUM/Cluster, ensuring key operational and organizational health targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This role sits on the leadership team within the EUM/Cluster for the operation in which it supports and acts as the strategic HR Business Partner to that business. 
  • Accountable for organization design as part of the strategic planning process to ensure alignment and appropriate organizational responses to business direction.
  • Accountable for a comprehensive Manpower Planning and Talent Management process - a key delivery in this role is to clearly identify, engage, develop and retain a strong pipeline of high performers with potential for career progression globally in Kerry Group.
  • Develop and implement leadership and management development programs to accelerate the development of the business and functional leaders of the future and linked to a comprehensive succession strategy.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, by leveraging group programmes while championing performance & development processes to ensure that training needs are identified, appropriate training delivered, evaluated and future action plans developed and agreed with subsequent tracking of objectives.
  • Proactively build employee engagement by promoting a culture of recognition and appreciation of employees by managers and peers – a key indicator of success will be improvement in colleague feedback via OurVoice.
  • Operating as a change agent, ensure appropriate and varied communications are deployed according to an agreed plan that supports strong retention of key talent underpinned by high engagement.
  • Build a high performing HR team to support growth in the business and ensuring a pipeline of talent for the HR function.
  • Accountable for the delivery of best-in-class Talent Acquisition services through partnership with the Talent Acquisition team to secure top talent in the external market.
  • Build strong working relationships with the wider Kerry Group HR community including regional leadership and COE’s for Reward, L&D and Global mobility.
  • Contribute to global HR policy formulation and implementation, ensuring a cohesive functional vision.

Qualifications and skills

  • 10+ Years of experience – with at least 5 years of Generalist Manufacturing experience at a Manufacturing site or sites (union & non-union) – Food experience a plus
  • Experience supporting executive leadership in a global organization supporting 1000 employees
  • 30 – 50% domestic travel
