About the role

  • This job requires an understanding of production software (SAP) and how to complete tasks within the program
  • Must be multi tasked minded, self-motivated and a fast learner

Key responsibilities

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. repeatedly
  • Able to perform hourly readings of equipment. (Temperatures, Amps, volts, steam pressure, etc…..)
  • Ability to keep product within specified range
  • Follow all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing practices)
  • Open minded and willingness to learn multiple work centers. (Vinton facility has 3)
  • Must be able to learn how to start up and shut down production over time
  • Makes sure  all daily tasks are completed and accurate on SAP
  • Able to do moisture checks on finished product hourly
  • Able to do Sieve analysis on diced product
  • Use time and labor efficiently for all production needs
  • Need to be able to know and perform all product change overs effectively and with minimal loss or rework produced.

Qualifications and skills

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in team environment.
  • Must be able to tolerate physical and environmental demands of the position.
  • Must have some work experience doing heavy manual labor within the last 5 years.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Previous manufacturing/food production experience preferred.
