What the Role Is


The Quality Control Technician works with the production team, samples and performs a variety of tests and inspections to ensure that quality control points are met or exceeded. This roles tests finished products and ensures that all materials are in compliance with both government regulations and customer specifications.  The Quality Assurance Technician reports to the Supervisor or Quality Manager and interacts with the Production team. 

What You'll Do


  • Testing of Raw Materials and Finished Products as assigned.  This includes physical, chemical or microbiological testing as appropriate.
  • Sensory evaluation of ingredients and finished products as necessary
  • Conduct line Audits and Case inspections
  • Place product under Initial Evaluation, Product QA Holds/QA Releases
  • HACCP & HACQP checks
  • Documentation, record keeping and file maintenance
  • Equipment standardization, calibration, maintenance and record keeping
  • Revising product data sheets per plant requirements.
  • Laboratory inventory and general supply ordering
  • Compile product, package, and ingredient data as required.
  • Micro plating and results recording
  • Allergen Changeover swabbing and testing

What You'll Need


  • At least 1 yr. of manufacturing experience, QA role preferred
  • College degree and/or 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to read, understand and follow laboratory, sensory and physicla testing protocols and methods.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which may include working in a wet, loud hot and/or dusty enviroment
  • Ability to perform essential  functions with or without reasonable accommodation
