About the Role


The full production process of multiple different production lines for producing the different organic salts need to be managed in both, mid-term and short-term allowing for in-time in-full delivery to our customers. The role of demand & inventory planner is to balance the demand and supply of the factories on the mid- and short-term. The main object is to align customer demand with the factory output of the right products at the right time according to customer demand. This while optimizing the production sequence together with the Master Production Scheduler and Production Schedulers as much as possible.
 

In this position you will be responsible for managing customer requests and orders via cockpit requests through Customer Care or account managers. Where necessary you actively contact other disciplines within the organization when applicable to secure correct short and mid-term allocation. This is done in close cooperation with the Master Production Scheduler and Production Schedulers by making the right insights and creating clarity in communication continuously. You can perform on both operational and tactical level, are involved in reporting the supply chain related KPI’s and you set and manage the improvements and make sure these targets are being achieved. Moreover, you actively support the Supply Chain Manager in any ad-hoc questions and in making structural reports providing insights.
 

To have a good planning vs allocation it is also necessary to update the applicable planning systems which are being used (SAP and APO). Therefore, appropriate maintenance of the relevant master data applicable in these systems is crucial, to show the right information in the right format at the right time. Next to managing this data you are also involved in continuous improvement projects to update these planning related tools.
 

You will closely cooperate and hand over your supply plan to your colleagues who schedule the factories and the planning of the external parties. (TPM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mid-term supply and demand balance in cooperation with Master Production Scheduler from the different factories and external parties by creating supply plan
  • Set & manage improvement targets for the applicable materials as used within Kerry Tiel
  • Analyze order vs forecast variances
  • Support and organize stock counts
  • Support future S&OP demand analysis
  • Communicate the supply-related aspects of the agreed supply plan to all supply-related parties efficiently and in good time
  • Spider in the web communicating to multi-department and multiple stakeholders on several levels within the matrix organization
  • Maintain the “inventory” SAP master data
  • Responsible for OTIF reports and inventory KPI’s.

Qualifications and Skills

  • You hold a relevant degree at minimum higher vocational education (HBO, Bachelor) level
  • You are analytical and able to make an estimate of the impact on demand & supply balance
  • You are a very strong communicator connecting the dots creating clear and fluent communication
  • You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar production/demand planning position
  • You quickly find your way in a complex production planning environment
  • You are adaptive and can set the right priorities
  • You speak and write fluent in Dutch and English
  • You have strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • It is strongly preferred to have experience in SAP or another ERP system
  • Competencies such as communication, Analysis, Planning & Organization, Initiative, Teamwork
