Where you'll work:

Ideal candidate can live remotely (Houston, Chicago) with significant travel.

What you'll do:

As the Distributor Development Manager, we will count on you to own the key corporate distributor relationships with assigned corporate distributor accounts across both Food and Beverage categories within Kerry’s Branded business in N. America.   This will include the achievement of annual food and beverage sales volume and operating profit objectives within the assigned account base. 

  • Develop strategic customer business plans to achieve annual volume and project objectives.
  • Effectively coordinate, communicate, and execute the strategic business plans created for your account base across the Kerry organization for assigned distributors
  • Communicate internally customer priorities and engage the cross functional team to drive business results for key strategic customers.
  • Penetrate the customer at all levels of the organization leveraging Kerry capabilities.
  • Leverage trade funds to drive profitable business and increase market share in key categories while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the programming.
  • Understand the competitive set within the category and customer channel to identify opportunities and formulate strategy for profitable sales growth.
  • Work with the field sales organization to assist and leverage relationships with the key local and regional leaders of assigned distributors
  • Profitably expand branded and private label offerings within the assigned distributor’s channel or market
  • Deliver account forecast with category and finance teams
  • Incorporate new item introductions into annual plan and coordinate launches with key customers and field sales leadership

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Marketing, Sales, Food Science or related field
  • Distributor Headquarter Relationships
  • Developing Strategy and Tactical Distributor HQ Plans and executing those plans with our Field Sales Teams and Brokers
  • Team Selling – work with RSM’s, RBM’s, TM and Brokers to execute (use corporate approval and execute with sales team)
  • Experience managing a big portfolio of brands
  • Demonstrated experience working with Distributor HQ level on category management/sourcing initiatives
  • Experience utilizing distributor data (Cookbook/Attribytes) to drive field sales executions
  • Demonstrated cross-functional experience – working on major customer projects collaboratively with supply chain, finance, customer care, etc
