About the role
In this position, you will be part of Kerry’s Regional Team in the Philippines, collaborating with R&D teams across the region to leverage your expertise in developing Seasoning and Taste solutions for snacks and meat applications. You will also work with both regional and global technical teams to meet consumer needs in domestic and international markets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and apply Snack (Dairy/Savory) and Meat Taste System solutions tailored to the Philippines market, with potential expansion to other Southeast Asian markets.
- Drive and support the growth of snack and meat taste systems in the Philippines, throughout Southeast Asia, and with key customers in the region.
- Utilize your specialized knowledge and skills in the development and application of solutions for Snack and Meat End User Markets (EUMs).
- Collaborate with commercial teams and customers to deliver solutions addressing their challenges.
- Work closely with technical teams, flavorists, business development, and commercial teams to understand and meet customer requirements in both snack and meat end-user markets.
- Contribute to the advancement of research, development, and application of snack and savory meat knowledge in the Philippines and key Southeast Asian markets by sharing Kerry’s global technology portfolio.
- Actively engage with Kerry’s product collection and adapt it to meet business needs.
Qualifications and skills
- A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, with at least 5-7 years of experience in product development within the snacks or meat sector. Experience in Flavor/Taste development is a plus.
- Strong technical expertise in meat functional and marinade systems, with a proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in Southeast Asia. Knowledge of snack seasoning development is desirable.
- Collaborate with commercial teams and end-user technologists in both snacks and meat sectors to understand market needs and develop product concepts tailored to specific customer requirements.
- Combine scientific knowledge with culinary expertise to create products aligned with Kerry’s Taste and Nutrition market positioning.
- Basic knowledge of scaling up lab-developed products for commercialization in manufacturing facilities, with a strong understanding of the blending process.
- Ability to create product specifications by identifying key variables and applying basic statistical process control techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating across departments like sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
- Strong presentation skills to effectively engage with customers and suppliers according to business needs.
