About the role

 

Work Location: Murarrie, Brisbane

 

Reporting to: R&D Manager 

Key responsibilities

 

•Development of new Beverage and Sweet Sauce applications to support customers
•Create new and innovative beverage products such as Carbonated Soft Drinks, Alcoholic beverages and Fruit beverages; develop sauces for applications such as Ice Cream toppings and ripples
•Work together with a cross functional team to develop integrated beverage solutions across all category
•Works with flavours team for evaluation of performance of Flavour products in application
•Provides input on Flavour collection needs
•Links with other application groups to cross share knowledge
•Provides applications support for initiatives and Beverage Technology promotions

Qualifications and skills

 

•Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry or a related Applied Sciences with at least 2 to 5 years of Beverage R&D product development working experience with a proven track record
•Beverage flavour applications or formulation for Wet Processing applications desirable
•Experience in managing both internal and external relationships – Commercial / Sales team, General Management, Customers etc.
•Must be able to participate in the sensory evaluation of products and formulate products with flavours
•Understanding of interaction of Taste products within the food matrix and processing impact
•Knowledge of application and processing knowledge
•An understanding of beverage equipment and other industry standards for beverage products and their processes would be desirable
