About the role

  • In this role, leveraging your industry and customer knowledge, you will drive growth in the Bakery category for Kerry Australia.
  • Translate customer & market needs into viable Kerry projects by “connecting the dots” to develop solutions to challenges.
  • Have an in depth understanding of customers, market, competitors and trends to be able to sell solutions backed by Insights to customers.
  • Increase visibility of Kerry in the customer(s) and market, i.e. make Kerry the top-of-mind Taste &Nutrition solution provider and drive the perception of Kerry as the “go to partner” for bakery solutions
  • Build cross functional customer relationships with decision makers within key customers with direct sales responsibility

Key responsibilites

Business Planning:

  • Support the Bakery EUM lead to develop Strategic plan that drives sustainable & profitable growth.
  • Develop and execute effective customer plans that drives business growth across your assigned portfolio of customer.
  • Initiate , Develop & Curate significant customer interactions e.g. Innovation days and strategic pitches.
  • Identify new Sales opportunities & ensure strong pipeline of new businesses.
  • Protect the current business by ensuring the customer value proposition remains relevant.
  • Identify relevant customers for  proactive campaigns linked to “strategic pushes”. Work with the Technology (setup local campaign linked to local needs by applying Kerry std technologies in local customer recipes)
  • Based on customer insights identify potential future innovation needs and share with the Technology team



Account Management

  • Develop focused account plans to deliver growth for key customers
  • Focus on big bets, execute the sales strategy for customers to maintain & increase current market share.
  • Take lead in building cross functional relationships with existing and new accounts
  • Organizes and joins customer tastings and with RD&A develops tools to increase our “first-time-right” scores
  • Works with EUM and RD&A to coordinate technical resources to support customer projects and pro-active meetings or local campaigns
  • Develop a robust pipeline of projects and ensure smooth execution of projects to completion by enabling cross functional teams
  • Execute the sales plan for each account to deliver the targeted results (sales volume and revenue; profit; customer satisfaction)


Qualifications and skills

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science preferred or technical qualification in bakery.
  • Minimum 5 years in the bakery industry with a technical knowledge of bakery products
  • Proven track record of business growth both new business opportunities and maintaining existing business in a highly competitive environment.
  • Proven experience working successfully with multifunctional team to ensure achievement of strategic business goals.
  • Sound knowledge of the Australian bakery market.
