About the role

You will lead the menu development for the Foodservice Street and Coffee Chains in the Australia and New Zealand region. Working on an identified list of accounts and projects.

Your role is to lead menu development for ANZ through exciting, enticing our current customers with applicable innovation for launching, creating new opportunities in these accounts and develop a long term plan for innovation and channels for Da Vinci Gourmet and other brands, in ANZ. You will be responsible for all menu development for our customers with the support of our regional Menu Innovation Team, Training our distributors and partners, delivering insight presentations, product tasting and concept approval before customer presentations and owning the product to launch to maintain and ensure consistency and that we meet the customer expectations. Working alongside and influencing commercial, marketing, R&D, baristas and mixologist – you will be the expert in your customer helping to grow and develop the insight and increase the Kerry percentage share of the menu, 

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for accelerating growth with the largest Key Accounts in the region based on a pre-defined list of KAs.
  • You will be tasked with increasing the Drink Share of the menu,
  • Building a workable strategy to increase the level of knowledge of distributors
  • Working alongside and developing Key Account plans with relevant stakeholders,
  • Build expertise and train others on how to identify customer menu gaps from a consumer/customer perspective to build compelling insight for our customers,
  • Internal networking is critical in order to leverage resources in order to win the sales opportunity;
    • RD&A in rder to develop leading products that deliver against MOQ and brand centric margin requirements
    • Brand Marketing in rder to receive support to strengthen the commercial teaching content linked to our core competencies as a company
    • Baristas and Mixlogists both centrally and locally in order to build leading beverage solutions that are on trend and uniquely delivers against the customer’s market position
    • Reginal and local sales teams in order to leverage resources and support in delivering wins to the business,
  • Work as an integral part of the Food service Street team in order to package our winning approach into channel plans that will form Kerry’s way of selling in the future

 

Qualifications and skills

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Expert and long term skills in Coffee
  • Comfortable presenting to audiences
  • Comfortable preparing drinks and presenting concurrently
  • Highly developed communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to create positive tension in the customer engagement by challenging the status quo
  • Brave enough to suggest new ways to make beverages and or shake up the menu to be more consumer centric
  • Understanding of operational procedures in the relevant store environments to offer beverages that are sustainable and trainable to the teams in store on scale,
  • Excellent at creating insights for our customers, and understanding the brand to connect and bridge the messages,
  • Strengths in taking control of the process and close negotiations assertively and effectively through systematically managing objections,
  • On-the-job coaching of local KAMs during the process of winning a large local KA to support the business’ focus on transferring these skills deeper in the organization

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in first hand coffee preparation
  • Preferably also 3-5 years of experience with a food service B2B supplier firm or customer/Key Account
  • Experience of selling to Food service Key Accounts
  • Good international experience and know-how of the APAC region.
  • Preference for Multi language ability
  • Minimum Diploma education
  • Industry Certificate or qualification in relevant knowledge base
