Where You'll Work!

Our Sturtevant, WI location is part of our Meat Division and creates dry seasoning blends for meat and snacks items that spice up the life of Kerry customers. Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $23 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime.  In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements). 

1st Shift 5 am to 1pm

What You'll Do!

Role Description, Skills, Experience and Qualifications required: Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•  Performing routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, wiping, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in various areas of the facility, including production areas, restrooms, offices, and break rooms.
•  Foaming and scrubbing of facility equipment and areas • 

 Chemical handling with provided training
•  Follow all rules and regulations to ensure safety and quality.
•  Disposing of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
•  Operating cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers, safely and effectively.
•  Following established sanitation protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
•  Completion of all necessary reports, logs, and documentation assigned throughout the shift activities
•  Assisting with inventory management by moving, organizing, and maintaining sanitation supplies and equipment.
•  Notifying management of any maintenance or repair issues that may affect sanitation standards or safety.
•  Maintain GMPs, PPE, and 5S standards
•  Attends Tier 1 Meetings at start of shift and Provides input as requested

Qualifications and skills

 

Physical Requirements/Conditions:
•  Ability to kneel, bend, squat, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work
•  Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments •  Ability to work in environment that may be dust filled at times
•  Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously
•  Ability to continuously stand/walk up to 8-12 hours
•  Ability to climb stairs or ladder

Minimum Requirements:
•  High school diploma or equivalent.
•  Previous experience in janitorial or sanitation work preferred, but not required.
•  Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
•  Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
•  Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
•  Excellent organizational & communication skills
•  Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job
•  Basic computer experience
•  Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions
•  Flexibility to work various shifts as needed including nights, weekends.
