About the role

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct required tests, analysis, and/or verification steps to assure that raw materials, batched product, and finished product exceeds established quality standards.
  • Verify conformity through measurement and assessment.
  • Make quick decisions and use sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions, and disposition of goods.
  • Ability to handle being exposed to smell and a variety of flavor products, essential oils, and raw materials.
  • Be able to participate in safety initiatives, committees, and teams.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • 1+ years of experience in food, pharmaceutical industry, or manufacturing environment is needed to understand the needs in quality.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • College Diploma or University Degree and Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or relevant science is preferred.
  • Organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and manufacturing software
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedure or instructions
  • Ability to organize and plan to maximize job efficiency and work safely
  • Must have not received any verbal, written write-ups and/or suspensions in the past year.
