Maintenance and Engineering Manager

Key responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance and engineering projects including expense and Capital projects involving both Kerry and contract resources.
  • Ensure that all engineering related work aligns with Kerry and industry standards for sanitary design, ergonomics, employee safety, and food safety.
  • Develop and implement solutions for equipment, facilities, and maintenance needs.
  • Actively participate in Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Develop manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Seek and incorporate best practices and new technologies.
  • Provide assistance to the plant maintenance department with regard to repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment used in manufacturing operations.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in Asset Life-cycle Management (ALM).
  • Provide leadership and methods to drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment.
  • Develop, adapt, and manage multiple-year capital plans.

Qualifications and skills

  • Engineering degree required.
  • 7+ total years of combined maintenance and engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years of engineering and project management experience.
  • Proven experience in executing large projects.
  • Experience with structured project management processes.
  • Experience with structured Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Experience Preparing estimates and budgets, and managing to financial expectations.
  • Food manufacturing experience is beneficial.
  • Known to be an inspiring leader cascading the vision of the organization.
  • Known to be a team and people developer.
