Where you'll work

The role is located in Springdale, AR.  You will office inside one of Kerry’s key, strategic global partners while using our Regional Application Center to develop solutions.  Our facility has 10-15 team members performing tasks such as RD&A, regulatory & sales.

You must be able to travel 25-40% to corporate headquarters/ R&D facilities & plants

What you'll do:

Do you have a combination of culinary and food science skills / experience, and enjoy working in a very dynamic environment, alongside research and development, marketing, and sales?

 

The embedded Application Chef has the unique opportunity to work daily with one of our key strategic global customers.  We will count on you for the following…

  • 50% Product Development
    • Develop working knowledge of ingredients, formulas, and customer processing techniques
    • Collect and relay key information for new project briefs
    • Describe flavor profiles in detail via flavor continuums
    • Quickly relay feedback between supplier and customer companies
    • Collaborate with internal and external customers
    • Participate in ideation sessions and food treks
    • Facilitate marketing and consumer insights alignment
    • Facilitate sensory alignment
    • Provide culinary inspiration through gold standard benchmarking
    • Lead and participate in benchtop development
    • Coordinate and collaborate with other embedded suppliers
  • 30% Customer Development
    • Understand customer strategies, initiatives, platforms, brands & products
  • 10% Professional Development – Culinary, Technical & Leadership
  • 10% Supplier Development – Kerry internal events and projects
There are some requirements you'll need to be successful:
  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or Food Science / Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or equivalent
  • 3+ years combined experience in food science or culinary roles
  • CRC and/or CCS certification – preferred
  • Knowledge of flavors, seasonings, coatings and application of all in food systems a plus
  • Working knowledge of ingredients, formulas, and customer processing techniques
  • Positive, upbeat, solutions-focused team builder with high levels of business ethics preferred.
