About the role

The Regional Global Accounts Director will have strategic commercial responsibility for nominated Global CPGs at an APMEA level. This leader will drive and lead the regional strategy linked to the global strategy, leveraging Kerry’s capabilities in a cross-functional manner, to drive pipeline through impactful customer engagements to deliver sustainable and profitable growth. The existing regional/country account teams will have a dotted reporting line into this role and the successful candidate will the drive and lead the strategy at an APMEA level, leveraging Kerry’s internal capabilities in a cross-functional manner. 

Role Priority: Build and deliver an accelerated growth strategy for the nominated global accounts, resources required to deliver, leveraging our differentiated Foundational Technology propositions supporting and enabling execution in region.

Key responsibilities

Key Individual Accountabilities:

  • Development and leadership of customer account strategy through clear understanding of customers own brands and strategies. Leading with our differentiated foundational technologies and resources needed to support.  
  • Lead a highly matrixed cross-functional team to deliver best in class customer experience to drive pipeline. 
  • Conduit between global team and in-country team to maximize sharing of best practices, wins and support required to drive growth. 
  • Responsibility for the overall performance of the global accounts budget delivery, pipeline creation and investments required to support at regional and local level.
  • Leading regional customer engagements, relationships and partnering with in-country account teams to execute against strategies. 
  • Working closely with technology teams to feed innovative propositions and solutions, and identifying potential gaps. 

 

Key Shared Accountabilities:

  • Supports the development of global account strategies feeding in regional input.
  • Builds a high performing cross-functional customer account team in collaboration with the functional leads (e.g. RDA, quality, supply chain, …)​.
  • Set the vision for the Global Account “Customer experience”, driving alignment to support optimisation of customer experience (as measured by NPS). 
  • Regional and local account execution plans, working closely with in-country account managers
  • Regional pricing and tenders. 
     

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelors degree in a Commercial or Technical discipline
  • A minimum track record of 5 years experience of growing a global CPG account in APMEA market
  • ⁠Experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry, across a range of markets in APMEA. 
  • Significant exposure to senior management within a sales environment
  • ⁠Proven experience working in influence-based roles within a large, matrixed organization and the ability to work cross functionally with others and / or virtual teams. 
  • Driven growth leader   
  • Strong business acumen and strategic vision and an openness to try new things with the ability to manage ambiguity 
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop talent
  • Proven strong negotiation skills and project management experience
