About the Role

Partnering with the regional COO and functional leaders across the Middle Office (Manufacturing, Engineering, QHSE, Supply Chain and Procurement functions) to support the delivery of Kerry Taste & Nutrition business growth enablement agenda.  Understanding how the business / commercial priorities align with operational / plant priorities and finding common ground and balance for Kerry APMEA (over 25 manufactruing sites across 13 countries in Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa), and aligned globally.

Key Measurements of Success
  • Providing visible leadership to engage, challenge, coach and develop our people towards high performance
  • Develop and deploy HR strategy and roadmap that aligns and supports the delivery of the overall business strategy, incorporating industry best practice including: workforce planning; leadership and functional capability; employee engagement; change management and end to end talent practices
  • HR strategic advisor for the areas of responsibility.  Partner with functional leaders, providing coaching and support to enhance personal leadership style, people management capabilities and change management skills/planning.  Deploy appropriate HR solutions to increase the effectiveness and performance of senior leaders / teams
  • Strategic proactive oversight and anticipation of employee relations issues; supporting HRDs and local teams to drive strategies to be proactive/ahead of ER issues, and to apply compliant/consistent approach to resolution at local level
  • Define capability requirements of HR teams supporting middle office at site level.  Through the sub-regional HRDs, support the site HR teams to understand and deliver against the Middle Office HR requirements, and to have a consistent understanding of what are the optimal HR services, standards and practices for Middle Office HR.  Track the upskill of the HR function supporting the Middle Office and participate in the HR Talent assessments to ensure consistent and aligned approach across the region. 
  • As a member of the HR Leadership team for the region, identify, manage (where required) and develop HR talent within the function for strong talent pipelining and succession plans
Key Deliverables
  • Inform business strategy and develop the right talent strategies for the business
  • Lead and develop a culture of high-performance utilising appropriate performance management, reward and recognition programmes
  • Work with the COE and HRDs to deliver appropriate development interventions to deliver strong talent pipelines
  • Work in partnership with the COE to ensure resourcing strategies are aligned to Kerry APMEA Workforce plans
  • Align strategy, structure, people, process and behaviours to optimise business, team and individual effectiveness
  • Effectively articulate the business case for organisational change and pro-actively drive and deliver business change
  • Create a compelling case for employee engagement. Develop the region-wide employee engagement strategy for Middle Office, and through the HRDs, agree appropriate local strategies to support the engagement agenda
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree educated, HR, Business or MBA
  • 15+ years experience
  • Must demonstrate experience in Manufacturing or Operations environments
  • Relevant HR qualification/accreditation, with track record of continuous professional development in an international and matrix environment.
  • Sound Generalist HR experience with ability to translate talent and performance strategy into executable HR initiatives that drive a high-performance culture
  • Is a credible HR leader, has a reputation for delivering excellence in HR and developing a high-performing HR function
  • Industrial/Employee relations leadership experience
  • Strong coaching expertise
  • Experience of designing and implementing leadership development capability programs, linked to succession/workforce planning
  • Commercial acumen, and proven ability to influence and lead business stakeholders
  • Proven global and matrix management experience – FMCG industry ideal
