About the role

  • Supply Quality plays an important role in Kerry's ability to deliver quality that will satisfy our customer's needs and ensure that we supply the highest quality while also conforming to established requirements.
  • Supply Quality CoS (Centre of Scale) Lead plays a crucial role in supplier qualification process and risk assessment.
  • The role will also involve in communicating and implementing policies and procedures to ensure all tasks conform to the business needs, legislation and regulations applicable within the region and global customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage supplier risk and approval governance on approved suppliers globally.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure all conform to the food safety legislation and regulations applicable within the region, for example FSMA in US.
  • Responsible for maintenance of supplier food safety data and documentation in Supply Quality systems and portal and ensuring data integrity within systems used.
  • Approval of Vendor-GS vendor-item relationship in SAP through ePIR system and/or MDM Sharepoint.
  • Lead the decision making process regarding policy implementation setting and guidelines.
  • Lead the CoS team in managing daily activities and ensuring business processes are adhered to within region or sub-region.
  • Ensure smooth operations of daily business as usual tasks and activities amongst and within teams.
  • Horizon scanning of emerging food safety and supply quality trends.
  • Provide recommendations to the organisation regarding risks and solutions involved in Supply Quality.
  • Responsible for communicating to relevant stakeholders on suppliers within Kerry to ensure suppliers’ issue and key initiatives are being managed.
  • Responsible for providing existing suppliers’ information in event of serious issue if appointed through regional Food Safety/ QHS&E Lead.
  • Partner with Procurement to ensure Master data is managed in line with global governance programs eg. raw material suppliers which have not been purchased in last 24 month are inactivated.
  • Support and management of Kerry Connect Supply Quality module master data to ensure governance programs are adhered to.
  • Responsible for understanding functional training needs, skills gaps and defining and delivering training programs for the core and extended Supply Quality teams.
  • Participate in meetings / sit on boards with trade associations and responsible for promoting, defending and representing the interests of Kerry Group (e.g. influence, monitor and comment on relevant legislation, food safety policy and other initiatives).

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, Major in materials, food, food industrial related.
  • Working experience in Food Safety, Regulatory, Quality or Operational Quality with at least 5 years’ experience.
  • Strong background in food safety and food legislation compliance.
  • Knowledgeable in supplier management.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and complaint resolution skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams at multi-levels within the organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills.
  • Able to work individually and as a team player.
  • Knowledge of food safety requirements and compliance.
  • Analytical, precise, pragmatic, enthusiastic, result oriented and commercial awareness.
  • Problem solving and resolution.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams at multi levels within the organization and team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills.
  • Experienced working relationships with vendors; has the appropriate business acumen to manage supplier relationships.
