About the role

  • Kerry’s approach to the foodservice market requires a push and pull philosophy with both direct and indirect sales to support the Key accounts and Distribution partners. The successful candidate will lead the Distribution partnerships set-up and execution activity across China, defining new distribution strategies and working with appointed distributors to drive growth in the independent sector as well as utilizing a complete menu management approach with applications and marketing support.
  • The Senior Regional Distribution Sales Manager will focus on setting up and executing a winning food service distribution strategy for Kerry globally leading beverage brand – DaVinci Gourmet. DaVinci Gourmet is one of the most reputable coffee solutions partners, with a winning range of coffee sauces, syrups and powders, enabling coffee shops and food service operators create beverage masterpieces and delight customers with top quality beverages.
  • The role will be responsible for:
  • Defining the right distribution partners, areas, distribution model including price, portfolio management, sales activation, and excellence, this role will cover South-West China (Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou)
  • Identifying and prioritizing distribution opportunities, creating sustainable profitable growth for Kerry within the food service market.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership and Direction: drive the expansion strategy in China key regions. Guide the brand's strategic direction to ensure growth, market relevance, and sustainability.
  • Market Penetration and Expansion: Develop and implement strategic plans for market penetration and growth. Leverage local connections and market insights.
  • Achieve budgeted targets while maximizing Kerry’s profitability.
  • Be Kerry’s food service brands and DaVinci Gourmet expert in China key regions, capable of sharing trends and market insight both internally and externally.
  • Develop a winning distribution strategy to reach independent coffee shops, across off and on-line channels.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a network of distributors across China key regions, ensuring strong coverage and effective representation of the brand.
  • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with key decision-makers within distributor organizations.
  • Conduct regular training and development programs for distributors to ensure product knowledge and effective sales techniques.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and develop competitive strategies.
  • Oversee pricing and promotional activities within the distribution network.
  • Identify, prioritize and recruit new distribution partnerships within the key regions.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, applications, finance and support functions teams to ensure a smooth and coordinated approach to sales.
  • Analyze sales data and reports to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards targets. Ensure the consistency and growth of Kerry’s business.
  • Recommend and implement sound, sustainable business pricing decisions.
  • Uphold utmost compliance to Kerry’s processes, systems and tools.
  • Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum 10 years Sales Management experience in the Food Service Food & Beverage industry.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or above.
  • Experience working with Food Service Distributors and/or with coffee shops channel is a plus.
  • Possesses a strong distribution network and experience (experience within distributors is preferred) and highly developed influencing and communication skills that can develop and maximize multi-level relationships in key customers to secure long term business growth.
  • Language proficiency in English.
  • Ability to travel based on business requirements.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Forecasting.
