About the role

 

Work Location:         Shah Alam, Malaysia
Reporting To:            Category Technologist Lead

 

You will be the subject matter expert responsible to manage raw material spec, provide technical advice for raw material, govern material set up process and involved in multiples project related to raw materials covering Kerry APMEA Region (APAC, Middle East, Africa).

 

Key responsibilities

 

Raw Materials (ROH) Spec Management

•    ROH creation, extension, block approval in MDG and related documents review and governing processes.
•    Kick-start and follow up the documentation request (RMQ) from supplier in partnership with RA and Buyers.
•    Support ROH setup for new product commercialization to review if there is existing match within Kerry or if require new ROH code setup
•    Manage ROH matching exercise with new business acquisition
•    Manage ROH pack size change and coordinate between site operations and supply chain on existing stock depletion.
•    Co-ordinate ROH shelf-life details from supplier.
•    Co-ordinate ROH samples in between external suppliers and Kerry RD&A team.

 

Operational Excellence

•    To provide technical advice and support on quality / operational issues related to ROH if required
•    Work with supply chain to optimize usage of ROH stock and to review for substitution in situation of stock shortage

 

PIP (profit improvement project)


•    Coordinate, review and approve the technical aspects of Profit Improvement Program’s relating to their raw material category with Category Buyers, manage use of opportunistic ROH purchase.
•    Drive the PIP Implementation and update the progress status in SFDC and to all the relevant stakeholders
•    Conduct ROH evaluation and coordinate trial runs if required.


Raw Materials Governance

•    Custodian of Raw Materials Library within category and accountable for technical aspects of ROH
•    Manage building block within category.
•    Manage global category code consolidation

 

Qualifications and skills

 

•    Bachelor’s Degree in related science or technical field 
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing or relevant industrial experience.
•    Technical knowledge in raw material/food ingredients and supplier management will be an added advantage.
•    To coordinate projects forward while liaising/ interacting with multiple functions stakeholders in fast-paced business environment.
