About the role

The Laboratory Executive will support the goals and programs established by the management team to continually improve through analytical ability, problem solving and decision skills to plan and co-ordinate supply chain to achieve high customer service.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical ability in a laboratory environment, excellent communication skill to communicate effectively to multiple stakeholders, and good leadership qualities to manage and lead team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and support overall laboratory functions, including analysis result troubleshooting and verification
  • Monitor and manage the quality for incoming, in process product and finished products
  • Manage the non-conforming raw material and finished product disposition.
  • Maintain and set-up new inspection parameter and quality plan in SAP whenever needed for new product/existing product.
  • Manage enquiry from customer service related to COA setup in SAP
  • Arrange and monitor the product stability test as per product stability test procedure.
  • Manage product shelf life extension request from customer.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the management systems of safety, ISO 45000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, HACCP & GMP

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or any related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a quality control lab of a chemical or related process industry
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/ISO14001/HACCP/GMP/SHE system would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication skill (both oral and written) to express and present ideas effectively in both individual and group situations to handle internal and external stakeholders
  • Customer focus and be able to listen to and understand customer needs. In addition, he/she should be able to anticipate customer needs and give a high priority to customer satisfaction
  • Actively contribute to product and process improvement and team growth
  • Exhibits an attitude that maintains a motivating work climate
  • Able to plan and execute complex plant experiments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Possess with good computer skill and prior knowledge in SAP is preferred
  • Has a thorough understanding of statistical control methods
  • Communicates in a timely and effective manner with minimal or no supervisory coaching
  • Should be comfortable working in a fast changing and growing global environment where accountability, quality, timeliness are key components
