About the role

We are looking for an Engineer Manager for our site in Sevilla.

Key responsibilities

 

•    Ensure that company policies and standards are implemented and adhered to in all engineering and maintenance activities. Demonstrates leadership in Health and Safety.
•    Ensure projects are based on a clear understanding of the brief by all stakeholders to ensure efficient use of engineering resources. Responsible for development, implementation, maintenance and adherence to Kerry, local, national, regional engineering statuary and/or compliance requirements.
•    Ensures design follows the review steps outlined in the Kerry Project Engineering Lifecycle: functionality and performance, energy efficiency, EHS, food safety, constructability and legal compliance. Establishes a project plan including considerations around timeline, plant boundary conditions, project team requirements etc. The project engineer manager ensures all relevant disciplines are involved in approving these plans.
•    Responsible for site maintenance and engineering activities, including leadership with his team (engineer and maintenance), capital planning and project identification, energy management, maintenance asset care program and all maintenance works on site.

•    Responsible for developing the site Engineering budget for approval and managing site engineering costs to meet the approved engineering budget targets. Ensure Capex submittals are based on a robust design, accurate costs and represent value for money. Works closely with the Capex procurement department on supplier contracts and performance.
•    Identifies and assesses the Criticality of plant, equipment and systems on a regular basis and adjusts the site engineering strategy to ensure an efficient and effective Plant and department operation.
•    Manages and implements the spare parts holding policy for the site ensuring the optimum stock holding, together with the maintenance responsible.
•    Maintain close contact with the Central Engineering team to assist with the relevant standards and feedback from lessons learnt, preferred suppliers and technologies.

•    Responsible for meeting predefined KPI targets.
•    Develop persons with the PD Plan to his team members.

 

Qualifications and skills

 

 

Must have:

•    Degree in Engineering. Mechanical, electronics, Chemistry, energy, are appreciated disciplines
•    Minimum 5 years’ experience in a large-scale process industry
•    Fluent in English written and spoken
•    Possesses good knowledge and experience in recent food related automation/process control technology advances/ equipment design & applications
•    Energy management techniques & principles
•    Project management techniques & principles
•    Procurement /Budget management
•    Basic regulatory compliance
•    Strong food safety and hygienic design compliance
•    Industrial Utilities (Water/Waste Water Treatment, Refrigeration, Compressed Air, Boilers, Steam systems)
•    An excellent history of interpreting CAD drawings, for electrical, mechanical and facilities.
•    Familiar with lean principles
•    Negotiations – change management
•    Excellent team organization skills
•    Evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills.
•    Ability to apply engineering principles in practical application.
•    Strong business knowledge and ability to interface with manufacturing organization. Excellent design & problem-solving skills
