About the role

 

Work Location:         Seoul, South Korea

 

This position will have the responsibility for direct customer management & distributor management, implementation of an effective distributor network as well as providing technical sales service and support, for the Pharma and Biotechnology business in Korea. The area of responsibilities could be beyond Korea based on the qualification of the candidates. The role includes providing direct technical support to customers, distributors and responsibilities for customer relationships and new business development within the geography.   

 

The primary work setting will be throughout the region with a heavy focus on customer and distributor interaction. Travel is required, both Domestic and International. Enjoy the ease of collaborating in a dynamic, agile work setting. 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Drive and implement the corporate strategy within the client portfolio.
  • Work with the Korea based distributors to get product to market.
  • Drive business from targeted accounts through a combination of face-to-face visits, teleconferences (internal and external), technical discussions and symposiums
  • Map key contacts, decision makers, organizational structure, procedures, policies, and new product pipelines within Target Accounts
  • Lead all open sales opportunities and act as a focal for internal and external interactions.
  • Identify market and competitor activity, product and industry developments and feedback this information to Sales Leadership.
  • Measure and communicate progress against annual targets via accurate and timely reporting and forecasting.
  • Identify gaps and develop a remediation plan as needed.
  • Cultivate meaningful interactions with customers by seamlessly blending strategic insight, relationship building, negotiation finesse, and technical expertise.

 

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharma, Biotechnologies or related field is preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and/or business development within Multinational or Global organizations is a plus
  • Preferred experience in Pharmaceutical Ingredients in Excipients or Film coating. 
  • Open to those with experience in Biotechnology in Fermentation, Cell culture, and Vaccine.
  • Experience with distributors management is an advantage. 
  • System exposure in SalesForce.com (SFDC) would be a plus. 
  • Fluent in written & spoken English and Korea is a must.
