Our Seattle, WA location is part of our Liquid Beverage division and creates sweet syrups and sauce variations for Kerry customers and brands. What You'll Do:
The Warehouse Operator handles a variety of duties to support shipping, receiving and transport functions. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll be cross trained to receive raw materials, supply production lines, stage finished goods and load outbound trucks with customer product. Accurate use of scan guns, safe transport of raw materials, in process and finished product is key to success. Prior experience performing inventory, lift truck operation and other duties to support smooth operations in the warehouse are required.
Duties typically include:
• Safely transport finished product with the proper paperwork to the finished goods warehouse and properly place finished goods in the correct location for that customer.
• Hand stack and transport pallets of finished product to the warehouse when hand stacking and rework are necessary.
• Identify the correct package materials and skids for each customer.
• Maintain an adequate supply of packaging material and remove all materials that are not being used including moving scrap to recycling.
• Supply production with pre-selected and approved production materials, using partials and oldest material first.
• Address or correct any unsafe conditions that are discovered and report all safety issues or truck malfunctions immediately to the Traffic Manager.
• Keep pallet logs updated with the correct warehouse location where product is stored.
• Audit materials for accurate inventory and placement at the end of each shift.
• Complete the daily LTO checklist (once per shift) and keep lift truck clean and in safe operating condition.
• Adhere to all forklift safety standards and regulations.
• Sweep, scrub, clean and relieve stackers for breaks and lunch.
• Assist team members when problems arise and in the training stackers and LTO’s.
• All other duties as required.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- High School graduate or equivalent required, eighteen (18) years or older
- Basic math skills, ability to calculate percentages accurately.
- 6 mo. Manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical or food processing facility.
- 3 mo. Prior electric pallet jack operation and safety certification preferred.
- Use of MS products required, SAP software preferred.
- Ability to maintain a good attendance record and availability for overtime.
- Must be self-motivated and conscientious.
- Ability to work well with a team or other coworkers.
- Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills to solve mechanical problems.
- Ability to complete certification requirements
