Where You'll Work

This role can be remote and suppport our liquid manufacturing plants which are placed west coast to east coast.  We produce nutritional drinks, liquid flavorings, and teas for Kerry brands and customers.

What You'll Do

The Senior Quality Manager will be accountable for aspects of Food Safety and Quality performance relative to the liquid / liquid beverage business unit objectives and initiatives and will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that is consistent with food safety and people safety as fundamentals.  This external facing candidate role will be responsible for establishing the vision, leadership and ownership of the business unit platform in alignment with the North America quality platform  to drive world class performance. You'll partner with all functions int his matrixed environment to achieve continuously improving results in the areas of safety, food quality, cost, service and sustainability. The matrix organization will include:  Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, CI, Central Quality, Supply Quality, HR and Finance.

You'll development your team, set goals, and conduct performance evaluations, and support the success and growth of tyour teams and defined program initiatives both directly and indirectly thru matrix reporting.

Important technologies to understand:

    • Aseptic Processing
      • HTST/UHT Fluid processing
      • Low-Acid Aseptic Food Processing
      • Better Process Control School is preferred
      • LACF Low Acid Canned Food is preferred

What You'll Need

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field of study such as Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry,  Microbiology, or similar Science/Engineering
  • 5+ years of quality experience in a food/beverage manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of relevant Food Safety & Quality System expereince to produce safe quality food, acting as SQF Practitioner or equivalent GFSI manager (BRC, FS22000)
  • 5+ years of experience in Food Safety regulations, FSMA, and industry and market trends
  • Low Acid Canned Food - LACF regulation is preferred
  • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) is preferred
  • Intermediate to adanced computer and compluter application skills. Preferrably with SAP and Intelex
