About the role

As a Principal Scientist in the Research, Development & Applications (RD&A) team at Kerry, you will be responsible for leading the application and demonstration of ingredient products, particularly in the bakery and related industries. Your role will involve designing and conducting research, including new product development and application work. You will maintain an active working knowledge of Kerry’s technologies and innovations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver the best technical taste and nutrition experience for our customers. 

Key responsibilities

  • Apply Kerry taste and AH&N technologies to support key projects within the Refreshing and Alcoholic beverages market.
  • Lead and support projects involving the application of Kerry taste technologies into alcoholic and refreshing beverages.
  • Deliver on key Kerry pipeline projects related to flavors and other technologies in the Refreshing and Alcoholic beverages market.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Kerry portfolio and its application in the Refreshing and Alcoholic beverages market.
  • Collaborate closely with the technology and taste team to apply, interpret, and report on different applications.
  • Build strong working relationships with process and application teams in key customer operations for refreshing and alcoholic beverages.
  • Provide technical support to the Refreshing and Alcoholic beverage sales teams to enhance customer interactions and business value.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards, such as HACCP and GMP.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with various teams and reporting findings.
  • Proficiency in data recording and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
