About the role
Key responsibilities

Responsibility for spend within the assigned categories

  • Develop strategies for the assigned categories and implement successfully
  • Ensure strategies support the greater Kerry business agenda
  • Coordination of these strategies across the sub-region and internal business units
  • Custody of data validity and reporting within their categories
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Supplier and material strategy development
  • Oversee supplier quality assurance for their category
  • Ensure supplier compliance for required standards of business (Supplier Quality, Insurance, SEDEX, etc)
  • Participate in & run negotiations
  • Working Capital Management
  • Design through to deploy for savings projects, supplier initiatives, category strategy
  • Supplier Benchmarking
  • E-Tendering
  • Supplier workshops (Savings and New Product Development)
Qualifications and skills
  • University Degree in Business, Procurement, or related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Office Skills
  • 5+ years Procurement Experience (or relevant Business experience)
  • Working knowledge SAP, Sap BI / BW experience, Salesforce.com an advantage
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to integrate and work effectively with people at all levels, functions, and cultures
  • Team-oriented with a flexible approach to working styles and management types
  • Focused, results-oriented and able to challenge the status quo to achieve both the medium and long term KPI levels;
  • Proven track record of taking initiative and delivering projects by partnering with other business functions, suppliers, and customers
  • Uses mature judgment to balance the business and commercial implications of category sourcing decisions and competitor activity on the direction and development of the Global Group Purchasing and business strategy
  • Self-motivated with an ability to undertake a wide range of activities and move quickly between different tasks
  • Clear focus on meeting task deadlines
  • Strong numerical and data analysis ability in order to produce and interpret adhoc reports from raw data
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to operate within a virtual team
  • Proven Track record of taking initiative where required, and delivering against set KPIs.
