About the role
We have a great opportunity for a Production Operative in our Kerry manufacturing facility in Runcorn, Cheshire.
This is a full-time, permanent position, featuring rotating shift pattern for day and afternoon shifts. Workdays are Monday to Friday with the early finish on Fridays.
Early shift: 05:30 – 13:30 (05:30 – 12:30 Fridays)
Late shift: 13:15 – 21:15 (12:15 – 19:15 Fridays)
A main task of the Production Operative is to operate safely within the production team, as directed by the Shift Manager, to ensure that the production plan is met on time, in full and to the defined cost, quality, hygiene, and environmental standards. Training for the role will be provided.
Where will you work?
Kerry Runcorn is a well-established flavour manufacturing site, producing flavours for various foods and beverages. Recently we have celebrated 40 years anniversary of the site opening. We are situated between River Marsey and A533 with bus stops for lines 110 and 200 conveniently located close to the site.
What will you do?
Your responsibilities as a Production Operative will include:
- Collecting raw materials from warehouse and transferring to production lines.
- Weigh and dose raw materials as per manufacturing instructions.
- Operating pedestrian truck.
- Operating production machinery in line with standard operating procedures and instructions.
- Recording production data in SAP and MES systems.
- Keeping production and warehouse area clean and safe.
- Collecting product samples for quality control in the lab.
- Following Health and Safety regulations on the site.
What do you need to be successful?
- Experience in food manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical environment is desirable
- Good communication skills, fluent English (spoken and written)
- Basic math knowledge
- Computer literate (MS Office, SAP, MES)
- Great teamwork skills and ability to work on your own
- Great organisation and time management skills
- Reliable and proactive
- Being able to lift up to 25kg materials
