About the role

 

As a Production Assistant for the afternoon shift in Runcorn, you will support the production team by engaging in cross-functional cooperation, addressing unplanned goods issues, liaising with finance team and managing material shortages. Responsibilities include i.e. IT coordination, ensuring stock accuracy, and utilising SAP for production planning and inventory management. Additionally, you will manage payroll processes, coordinate with staffing agencies, and collaborate with various departments to meet production targets and maintain operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • TECO process orders
  • Understand and identify any shortages or over deliveries on process orders for all goods issues and goods receipts – report any discrepancies with Managers and QC.
  • Ensure times have been entered for all process orders and they are as accurate as possible and where needed cancel and amend times to give a more accurate costing.
  • Monitor any unplanned goods issues on Production process orders and if needed chase up with QC and Production.
  • Liaison with Finance on a regular basis and follow any queries they may have on variances on Production process orders.
  • Work to a month end deadline with Finance.
  • Work with the QC department regarding shortages of materials issued to Production process orders and any CCP queries.
  • Fix any interface issues within MES and SAP – this includes understanding fully the range of IDOC’s and where they are located in the two systems.
  • Liaison with IT regarding any IDOC issues and report any inaccuracies.
  • Amend stock inaccuracies where needed for Production. A full understanding of the stock on site is required.
  • Knowledge of SAP and MES – to fully understand stock requirements, alignments, movements and shortages.
  • SAP super user – able to log IT tickets at all priorities.
  • Payroll – inputting weekly figures to Managers and email month end figures to Kerry HR.
  • Complete and email agency weekly time sheets.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • SAP experience, MES experience desirable.
  • Computer literate - excel and word proficient.
  • Manufacturing background.
  • Attention to details.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
