Where you'll work:

Our Rothschild, WI location is part of our Applied Health and Nutrition division and is responsible for our biopharmaceutical needs for Kerry customers and brands. This site is one of two that works with specialized lactose protein within the Kerry organization! People may not realize we're more than just great taste when it comes to food and beverage products - we truly are committed to nutrition and sciences as well!

 ***  Must live with 45 minutes of the facility

 

Night Shift – 11 pm to 7 am

$28.04/hr + .65 cents shift dif

On call rotation

About the Role:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, with assistance from the Maintenance Planner and the Shift Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will safely and efficiently maintain facility equipment, buildings and mechanical systems. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.

Key responsibilities

General working knowledge of piping fitting, specifically threaded fittings and understanding of pipe sizes and schedules

• Demonstrate basic welding skills, with focus on TIG welding of stainless steel (small brackets, light duty, non-structural

• Setting a torque wrench to 75 pounds and actually tightening to that setting

 

Use a calliper to measure the length of a piece of steel and write down the measurement (Metric and Standard)

• Able to properly select v-belts and timing belts, properly tension and align pulleys

• Ability to troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and replace a variety of pumps, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps

• Able to read and explain motor nameplate data

• Able to explain how to ohm a motor phase to phase and phase to ground

Qualifications and skills

• 2 year degree or Journeyman license

• Able to properly use a VOM (DMM) to read house voltage and current from a wall receptacle

• Use the NEC to properly size a conduit for 20 pieces of #10 gauge wire with THHN insulation

• Read, understand, and explain electrical one-line diagrams

• Able to read a ladder diagram, and use that in troubleshooting systems

• Able to unwire, wire 3-phase electrical motor, and test rotation

• Understand concept of PLC controls and field devices

• Able to set up VFD drives (specifically Powerflex) utilizing the HMI device on the drive (motor overloads, start sources, enter motor nameplate information, etc.)

• Able to identify different working components of PLC’s (power supply, processor, input/output cards, etc.)

• Able to field and bench troubleshoot pneumatic control valves

• Able to rebuild pneumatic control valve, including disassembly, replacing worn and damaged components, reassembly, and final testing
