Where you'll work:


Our Rothschild facility is part of the Applied Health and Nutrition division business, and is rapidly growing. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Parts Purchaser to join our team and organize and manage the site spare parts physical inventory in compliance with with defined objectives.

What you'll do:


As the Maintenance Parts Purchaser, you will:

  • Communicate with Vendors regarding inventory purchases
  • Perform regular reviews of parts usage and make sure CMMS database is updated as appropriate with proper part types, criticality, stocking quantities, min/max and other pertinent information.
  • Ensure all items are properly received and stored to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor parts quality and ensure suppliers are meeting specifications
  • Manage the addition of parts records to the CMMS as per approved parts naming conventions.
  • Manage the parts inventory organization and labelling for easy retrieval and functional effectiveness.
  • Make regular reviews, and remove obsolescent inventory in a timely manner.
  • Track and provide feedback on vendor performance and compliance with agreements.
  • Pre-kit parts required for planned work orders and coordinate this effort with maintenance planner.
  • Perform regular parts inventory cycle counting in accordance with Kerry policy.
What you'll need to be successful in this role:
  • Ability to define and verify general characteristics of the various maintenance parts.
  • Practical experience in a maintenance role in the food, chemical or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • High level of computer literacy, including MS Office applications; experience with relational databases, and a CMMS in particular preferable
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interface well with others internal and external to the maintenance department
  • Strong organizational skills
