About the role

At our Rothschild facility we are part of the Applied Health and Nutrition division and we manufacture hundreds of different products for Kerry and our retail customers. If you’re looking to build a career in manufacturing with a team you can have some fun with, we might be the team for you. We are looking for someone to help us keep things running!

 

Key responsibilities

 

Under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor, this position is responsible to efficiently test product against
define specifications.

 

This is a night shift position 5.45pm – 6am rotating schedule

 

Essential job functions of this job include, but are not limited to:
Chemical and microbiological analyses of pharmaceutical and edible grade lactose.
Accurate and timely reporting via electronic and hard copy formats.
Maintain calibrations of precision equipment.
Reports and records all deviations from specified operating parameters and “critical control points,” as
established by HACCP and Kerry procedures.
Seek involvement in continuous improvement activities and processes to support organizational
progress on safety, quality, customer service and cost goals.
Provide break relief to other employees as needed.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with co-workers. When necessary, communicate with
plant visitors or guests in a professional, helpful, timely manner to project a positive image of Kerry and
our products.
Complying with all safety and work rules and regulations, and departmental housekeeping standards.
Regular and punctual attendance and physical presence in the workplace.

Qualifications and skills

 

High School Diploma or GED, Degree would be preferred.  (Background in science/lab experience strongly desired)

Manufacturing experience is strongly preffered

Strong computer skills

Ability to communicate effectively with employees
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. 

Strong reasoning ability & problem solving
