About the role

Kerry is seeking an experienced, senior level professional to lead our Food Safety and Sanitation programs. The incumbent in this position directs the development of programs, policies and procedures in support of essential business and manufacturing strategies and practices.

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in the development and execution of company’s strategy for Food Safety and Sanitation in coordination with leadership and in-line with overall company-wide strategy.
  • Drive effective and efficient Food Safety Management Systems including global harmonization and standardization, while ensuring EQMS is established well with appropriate business processes.
  • Lead sanitation teams iacross division to ensure compliance and sharing of best practices.
  • Collaborate with key, cross functional stakeholders to manage priorities.
  • Oversee the performance through site metric assessments.
  • Compile data to support investment needs
  • Provide hands on support to sites requiring support

Qualifications and skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required in a science, engineering, or technical field. An advanced degree is a plus (PhD, M.S. or MBA) as well as professional certifications (i.e. Six Sigma, ASQ certifications).
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant Food Safety/Quality/Sanitation experience with at least 10 years succeeding in leadership roles.
  • Prior experience with overall responsibility for directing a Food Safety organization and setting strategic direction for the company's policies and procedures.
  • Strong team orientation and team building; ability to mentor and develop members of the team.
  • Solid industry contacts and meaningful relationships with Food Safety and Quality professionals.
  • Successful record of identifying and analyzing complex problems, recommending actions, and seeing through from concept to completion.
  • Proven ability of achieving aggressive business and operational goals.
  • Able to work effectively in a complex, matrix work environment.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented and outstanding work ethic.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally.
