The CI Specialist is a key role that will assist the Rochester site in achieving our targets by driving waste out of the site and improving our efficiencies
This position, is an as an integral part of the Site Leadership Team, will set the overall continuous improvement (CI) strategy and manage execution for the respective functional areas. The scope of the role influences all site activities (Production, Warehouse, HR, Finance, Engineering, QA, and Supply Chain) to contribute to operational and overall business improvement in a systematic and sustainable manner
Key responsibilities
- Support the development of lean manufacturing processes, including continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee involvement.
- Lead, teach, and coach employees at all levels on lean manufacturing processes.
- Facilitate the development and maintenance of the site implementation plan for the lean manufacturing operating system.
- Drive lean training and implement a lean toolkit utilizing PDCA, value stream mapping, quick changeovers, Kaizen, problem solving, 5S, etc.
- Lead continuous improvement events that result in employee skill and knowledge development and KPI performance improvements.
- Prepare plans, drive performance, and ensure timely completion and achievement of product/process quality and savings goals using tracking and reporting systems.
- Identify barriers to success and solicit help from leadership when needed.
Qualifications and skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or Food Science.
Technical:
- At least 2 years of experience in similar roles in manufacturing settings.
- Advanced proficiency in lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Experience with advanced continuous improvement methodologies.
Behavioural:
- Proven track record of successful team leadership and development.
- Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements and achieve goals.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $64,479 to $95,074 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
