About the role

The starting wage for this role is $20.22/hr.  This position may also be eligible for a shift differential of $1.50/hour and/or overtime.   In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements). 

Shift/Working Hours: 6pm-6am (12 hour shifts)/ 4 days on, 4 days off). 

Key responsibilities

Primary Job Functions (Summary)

Operate equipment in accordance with all mechanical, production demands and physical expectations required of the equipment and the manufacturing process and other job duties as assigned as necessary and deemed reasonable.

 

Essential Job Functions

•Perform processes necessary for the successful operation of all phases of the equipment

•Operate equipment through the use and understanding of automated control system.

•Monitor equipment and maintain processing conditions to meet product specifications and production quotas.

•Maintain accurate records pertaining to the operation of the equipment and related production data.

•Maintain clean and safe work area

•Perform routine mechanical troubleshooting during equipment operation

•Perform routine inspection and maintenance of equipment piping systems.

•Perform routine inspection and maintenance of equipment belts, rollers, gears and pumps.

•Perform routine equipment greasing and lubrication maintenance.

•Perform Quality Assurance Tests on produced product.

•Execute procedures, perform analysis and verify QA standards process.

•Perform, contribute and/or complete special projects and/or other job assignments as required including assistance with other equipment monitoring, operation and maintenance.

•Process and handle product from equipment

•Remove and replace seal.

•Perform routine cleaning of equipment

•Perform routine cleaning of internal and external equipment using caustic materials

•Load tankers as required

•Ability to drive forklifts and spotting tractor and use pallet jacks.

•Complete required paperwork

•Complete routine inventory of various parts, tools and/or equipment

•Perform other job responsibilities as assigned and/or required

 

All of the above requires the ability to perform the physical functions including, but not limited to, the following:

•Climb over, under, up, down and/or in equipment accessible via catwalks, manholes, stairs and/or ladders.

•Transport necessary tools to and from the required job that may require intermittent lifting, pushing and/or pulling.

•Ability to drive forklifts, spotting tractor and will lifts.

•Move tankers as required utilizing a spotting tractor.

•Perform routine cleaning of equipment.

•Perform routine cleaning of internal and external equipment using caustic materials.

Qualifications and skills

Qualifications/Hazards

•Ability to work (4) four day consecutive schedule @ (12) twelve hours per day requiring consistent walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching and climbing.

•Ability to climb stairs repeatedly each hour of the twelve (12) hour shift

•Ability to operate and understand computer hardware and software as it relates to the operation and control of this process.

•Ability to operate and control the equipment related the manufacturing process.

•Ability to perform work above shoulder height/overhead.

•Ability to use tools/equipment requiring pushing and pulling.

•Ability to perform job responsibilities requiring the use of vibrating tools.

•Ability to transport necessary items to the required location weighing a minimum of 50 lbs.

•Ability to wear a respirator for prolonged periods while performing certain job responsibilities in area requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

•Ability to perform job responsibilities within working conditions of temperatures averages of 90+ degrees with possible humidity of 100 percent.

•Ability to comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and/or safety requirement.
