About the role

 

We have a great opportunity for a Store Person in our Kerry Agribusiness Store Teams in Rathkeale and Herberstown, Co. Limerick.

 

The position is on a full-time, permanent basis. Working days are from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, and 08:30 to 12:00 on Saturday. Weekend work is treated as overtime and is paid extra.

 

The Store Person role is varied, and every day will bring new challenges and opportunities. You will assist customers, manage stock, and handle other store duties. You’ll be supported by your local store team and the larger team, contributing to sales and maintaining product and service quality. Previous experience in sales, customer service, or roles such as warehouse operative, forklift driver, stores operative, or stock controller will be advantageous. Training in product handling, forklift operation, manual handling, and chemical safety will be provided.

What will you be doing?

 

Your responsibilities as a Store Person will include:

 

  • Serving customers and dealing with product enquiries, both face to face and on the phone. Handling cash
  • Merchandising products
  • Keeping customers data safe and secured
  • Managing stock and deliveries. Keeping stock records in Oracle
  • Housekeeping within the store
  • Forklift duties - loading and unloading products like animal feeds, fertilizers, store goods
  • Following health and safety guidelines
  • Supporting store manager and other team members

 

What do you need to be successful?

 

  • Great communication and customer service skills are required
  • Knowledge of agriculture products is desirable
  • Computer skills (Oracle, Outlook, Excel etc.) are desired, but training will be provided if necessary
  • Forklift training, manual handling, chemical training will be provided during induction, but experience is beneficial
