About the role

The RD&A Scientist will work on the development of  applications for  beverages.  You will develop beverage solution to help our customers differentiated from what other suppliers can provide.  If you’re looking to build a career in RD&A with a team you can have some fun with, we might be the team for you.

Key responsibilities

The Scientist will lead and participate on proactive beverage innovation projects and responsive customer-initiated projects.   This will be achieved by working in a lab & pilot plant and having an understanding of beverage and the different raw materials to make blends (flavors / taste).   You will report to the Global Account Director

  • Conducts research, including new product research and development of foods.
  • Develops new and improved methods and systems for beverage / food processing, production, quality control, packaging, and distribution.
  • Studies methods to improve quality of foods such as flavor, color, texture, nutritional value, convenience, or physical, chemical, and microbiological composition of foods.
  • Develops food standards, safety and sanitary regulations, and waste management and water supply specifications.
  • Tests new products in test kitchen and develops specific processing methods in laboratory pilot plant.
Qualifications and skills

  • Do you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science or other technical degree? Chemistry  Science, food science – prefer internship.
  • Do you have 3+ years developing beverage products, from inception to commercialization?
  • Are you able to consume & taste beverage/food products?
  • Are you open to Travel 20– 40%, to customer locations and plants?
  • Do you enjoy bab bench work and working in a pilot plant?
