About the role

Responsible for the day to day management of personnel and plant assets in order to manufacture product as required by customers in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

Key responsibilities

Oversee production activity to ensure timely responsiveness to both internal and external customers.
Control department costs by monitoring overtime and use of equipment and materials.
Review and reconcile weekly timesheets.
Liaison with Quality Control on all quality issues to co-develop cost effective business solutions to problems emanating in process or from incorrect usage of raw material.
Be resident department expert on safe evacuating of product from all tanks, reactors. Must be able to explain safe operation of pumps, mixers, filters, lift trucks to subordinates.
Follow all quality assurance instructions on formulas related to proper sampling of batches.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) to maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations
Other duties assigned by manager.

Qualifications and skills

Bachelor's degree
5 to 8 years of experience on similar roles
Knowledge & experience of SAP is desirable.
Must have good leadership and interpersonal skills. Must be PC proficient
Working Environment: Factory environment with exposure to flavor and basic product chemicals and raw materials
