Our Portland, ME location is part of our Liquid Beverage division and specializes in coffee extract and flavorings created for Kerry products and customers! This site is held to the high standards to be considered Organic and Kosher products.
This is a 2nd shift position with a couple of options for shift coverage which could include:
Potential Hours & Schedule:
Monday - Friday from1:00PM - 9:30PM or 1:30PM - 10:00PM.
OR
Monday - Thursday from 7:00PM - 5:00AM
Onboarding would occur during 1st/2nd shift (Monday - Friday; hours flexible between 5a-5p) and can take up to 3 months.
What You’ll Do:
Do you thrive in a fast-paced team environment and work closely with production and other colleagues? The Quality Technician makes quick decisions and uses sound judgement to make rational decisions pertaining to recommended adjustments, corrective actions and disposition of goods.
Accuracy Counts! You'll be responsible for conducting required tests, analysis, and/or verification steps to assure that raw materials, batched product, and finished product exceeds established quality standards. The Quality Technician verifies conformity through measurement and assessment.
Strong attention to detail is a must. Strict adherence to procedures, policies, and instructions. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
What you'll need to be successful in this role:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; Some college coursework in Chemistry or Biology would be preferred
- Experience with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, FCC/USP/ASTA test methods, aseptic technique and food or pharmaceutical production is desired.
- Understanding of basic computer functions, experience with Microsoft Office® suite of products is desired.
Salary:
The typical hiring range for this role is $25.00 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime.
