About the role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Stream Quality Control (Evenings) to join the Kerry Team at our site in Portadown

 

Monday-Thursday  2:45-11:45pm

Friday 2:45-9:15pm

Key responsibilities

 

  • Assistance in defining problem root causes on recurring quality issues, using problem solving techniques during the evening shift.
  • Assist with the management of quarantined and non-conforming goods.
  • Spot check and final checking of goods on the factory floor, ensuring product being made and processes used comply with company procedures and guidelines.
  • To conduct regular internal audits and maintain records, accordingly, ensuring the Quality audit timetable is on schedule.
  • Assist to ensure all procedures and documentation are correct and adhere to the relevant standards.
  • Assist with aspects of staff training and development.
  • Any other duties as requested by the Quality or Technical Manager.
  • Assist the Company in developing a right’ first time behaviour.

Qualifications and skills

 

  • Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data
  • Robust understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of the BRC Global Food Standard
  • Understanding and ability to apply in live situations the principles and tools of lean manufacturing

  • Reliable and strong work ethic.
  • Good understanding of the English Language to include reading and writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong focus to company standards
