About the role

Kerry is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Sr. Account Manager for our coffee business segment, based on the East Coast and in support of our newly acquired coffee extraction site in Bethlehem, PA.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a groundbreaking business segment, leveraging Kerry’s expertise in taste and innovation to unlock the full potential of our coffee capabilities.

Key responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

•  Identify and pursue new business opportunities with vigor and determination, embodying a "hunter mentality" to drive growth.

•  Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, communicating Kerry’s value proposition and tailoring solutions to meet specific customer needs.

•  Develop and execute strategic plans to expand Kerry’s footprint in the coffee segment, targeting key markets and emerging opportunities.

•  Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and facilitate long-term partnerships.

Matrixed Collaboration

•  Effectively navigate a highly matrixed environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, marketing, and finance.

•  Serve as a central point of communication between customers and Kerry’s internal departments, ensuring seamless integration of resources and expertise.

•  Leverage Kerry’s global network and portfolio to craft innovative coffee solutions and deliver quality to our clients.

Travel and Engagement

•  Commit to significant travel, up to 75%, to visit clients, attend industry events, and represent Kerry at key engagements.

•  Immerse yourself in emerging trends and developments in the coffee industry, fostering strong connections and staying at the forefront of innovation.

Focus on Taste

•  Develop a deep understanding of Kerry’s expertise in taste and flavor innovation, positioning our coffee offerings as market leaders.

•  Drive initiatives to grow Kerry’s coffee segment by emphasizing the critical importance of taste in product development and customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications and skills

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.

·         3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or customer relations in the food and beverage industry preferred.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence clients.

·         Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

·         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·         Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Willingness to travel throughout the East Coast region up to 75%.
