Where you'll work:

At our Owen, WI facility we are part of the Dairy and Culinary division and we make cheese powders, meal seasonings (mashed potato seasoning), dairy flavors and cheese sauce for our retail customers. This site participates in many local area charities and festivals throughout the year.  We are looking for someone to help us keep things running!

We have an immediate opening for a 1st shift Maintenance Electrical Technician. The schedule is 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday. With rotating on call schedule. Sign On Bonus $2,000.00!

What you'll do:

You’ll work with the Maintenance team under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, efficiently maintain facility equipment, buildings, and mechanical systems.  This role has an emphasis on maintaining machine controls programming and infrastructure.

Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to):

        • Write PLC code from scratch; includes ladder logic, structured text, and function block (RS Logix, Visual Basic,)
        • Review and interpret PLC coding from others, and make any necessary changes
        • Interface with field devices through industrial controls (ethernet, device net, DH+, etc.)
        • Create and utilize Add-on-Instructions (AOI) within RSLogix
        • Install and setup VFD’s utilizing ethernet control
        • Create new and modify existing RSView operator interface screens in a multiple SCADA server environment (includes new graphics, screens, navigation, interface, etc.)
        • Generate trends within RSView Historian, and to display them on operator interface
        • Install and maintain network switch configurations (including layer 3 switches), Vlans, etc., through command line codes
        • Troubleshoot PLC and network issues quickly and effectively 
        • Repair, replace or rebuild process equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, valves and motors
        • Work with outside contractors to ensure the equipment repairs and Preventive maintenance is completed correctly
        • Duties include but are not limited to trouble shooting equipment, equipment repairs and performing preventive maintenance

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • An associate degree in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment & food/beverage experience is highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Electrical 3 phase systems, PLCs, Controls
  • Extensive experience repairing and/or replacing pumps, motors, filters, pipes.
  • Welding & cutting and grinding along with the operations of a wide range of powered shop tools.
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills are required. Familiarity with maintaining Windows Server
  • Familiarity with maintaining Virtual Machines within a server environment

On call:

  • Must be available for emergency call-in to perform equipment and system repairs on a rotating basis per established procedures to insure equal distribution of call-in responsibilities.
