About the role


The Owatonna location is a contract processing facility that specializes in the agglomeration and/or coating of nutraceuticals and functional food ingredients.  The site has involvement in product formulations, ingredient processing and particle coating solutions within the food & beverage and nutraceutical ingredient industries

Key responsibilities


This position is responsible for maintaining overall quality standards for facility, raw materials, and monitoring/review of finished products.  Performs material testing, monitoring of raw material and finished product parameters and plant environments.  This position provides real time evaluation of the facility, raw materials, finished product specifications, environment and equipment for compliance to pre-established standards

Qualifications and skills


High School Diploma/GED with 2 – 4 years of experience in food manufacturing environment.

BS/BA in a food related field, or a two year laboratory technician degree or certificate and 2 years of experience in a food laboratory or food plant setting.

SQF experience desired, but not required.

Knowledge and ability of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to coach production employees regarding test results and maintaining product within pre-       established product specification

Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.

Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
