With over 45 plants across North America, the Owatonna, MN, USA plant is a part of our Beverage division that mass blends savory food ingredients. What You'll Do:

 

The Production Lead is responsible for the execution of the production schedule for processing products to meet established product quality specifications and packaging requirements while ensuring compliance to safety, environmental and regulatory policies. in this second shift role, you'll utilize your experience to ensure accuracy of inventory, maintaining raw ingredient levels, use and finished product accuracy on the production floor and in the SAP system. You'll perform a variety of duties, coordinating with the production associates and in collaboration with internal teams.

 

  • Lead and coordinate employee element of assigned work group to maximize efficiency, participating in developing production schedules at weekly meeting.
  • Become expert in cross functional departments and work streams, understanding and coordinating multiple operations.
  • Utilize SAP and other software to perform transaction functions for material flow.
  • Help the site implement new equipment, SOP’s, and complete related product qualification steps.
  • Validate critical control point (CCP) instrumentation in the production process to ensure adherence to established quality assurance, GMP and regulatory procedures.
  • Train and empower employees to effectively and safely perform tasks required for their job.

 

Our 2nd Shift Works from 4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Mon.-Thursday, Overtime is Available, Usually Not Mandatory

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required, a 2-year, associate degree preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a related industry, food or chemical processing ideal.
  • Leadership experience is desirable.
  • MS product use, experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methods.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology.
