About the role

• This position involves supporting the technical development and application activities in our R&D Coating lab based in Norwich, New York.

Key responsibilities

Under direct supervision, support R&D representatives’ needs for data gathering, sample prep and lab organization.   Demonstrate a scientific curiosity.   Work with other functions within Kerry to ensure smooth processing of sample preparation.   Employ efficient time management techniques.   Work in pilot scale coatings production environment to prepare samples for internal and external use.   Support manufacturing by conducting pre-check color testing.

Qualifications and skills

Technical degree, 2-3 years’ experience in Pharma development industry. (preferred)   Math and measuring skills.   Ability to blend dry mixes, organize laboratory, record processing parameters.   Problem solving skills (scientific method).   Ability to respond to changing priorities.   Strong time management skills.   Strong interpersonal, communication skills.   Accepts feedback.   Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a laboratory setting and lift 50lbs.   Candidate must be willing to learn new concepts, must be organized and believes in team mindset.
