About the role


The Process Technology Scientist will actively engage in strategic customer activities (across multiple technologies) in a cross functional team setting and manage technical projects across those same teams.
As the subject matter expert for products and technology sold into Pet, provide technical input to the Sales function, in support of commercial success linked to various technologies.


Key responsibilities

  • Efficiently execute the production schedule
  • Develop and maintain efficient SOPs in collaboration with the site engineers
  • Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant production department, both supervision and operators
  • Communicate and enforce regulatory & Kerry standards within the plant
  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives 
  • Manage the plant production department within budget.
  • Positive working environment driving a continuous improvement theme
  • Work in collaboration with HSE officer to ensure a safe working environment
  • Responsible for manufacturing product to specification 
  • Responsible for minimizing losses
  • Ensure food safety programs are instituted and followed 
  • Management through KPIs

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 3+ years experience in a dairy/food plant or related industry
  • 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
  • Knowledge and understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and sanitation/hygienic practices.
