About the role

If you’re looking for career advancement opportunities, a fun, challenging role as Director of Manufacturing  and overseeing 5 to 7 direct reports, then this is the position for you!   With over 45 plant across North America & Canada, the plant in Norwich, NY, is a part of our Kerry Functional Ingredients & Actives division and has roughly 125 employees. This site is responsible for hydrolyzed protein, lactose, and some blending & coating.

Key responsibilities

You will set the tone and be is responsible for the overall management of the Plant, reporting directly into the VP of Operations. If you have a track record of strong leadership, developing high performing teams, engaging with the plant personnel and bring pride in continuous improvement, we want to hear from you! 

 

  • You will be the driver for all manufacturing operations including the safety, production efficiencies, quality, customer service, employee development and financial performance of the plant
  • Hold the facility accountable by managing and executing plant processes to attain plant production and quality targets and ensuring achievement of all unit Key Performance Indicators.
  • Delivering continuous improvement processes to ensure safety, quality, cost, and customer service goals are met and propel the plant and your career forward.
  • Creates and maintains an engaged and team-oriented workforce to meet business demands

Qualifications and skills

  • B.S. degree required, MBA preferred with additional education in Engineering and Finance.
  • Progressive experience (7+ years) within food, beverage or pharma industry required 
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a Plant Manager Role
  • Demonstrated success as a change agent & developing/implementing continuous improvement initiatives and accountability programs
  • Demonstrated success assessing, developing and retaining top talent
