Where you'll work

Our Beloit, WI location is home to our Corporate Headquarters for the North American Region. This location has approximately 700 employees at this location that in roles such as regulatory, RD&A, finance, procurement, supply chain and customer care. It is easily commutable from the Rockford, Madison, and Milwaukee areas. What you'll do

This role will provide leadership and direction to a global engineering team responsible for capacity planning, project identification & development, project management, process optimization, equipment maintenance & reliability, facilities management, and sustainability initiatives across multiple sites and various technologies. 

The successful candidate will collaborate with the business leadership team to assure an aligned engineering and maintenance team to AH&N’s goals and objectives.   

  • You will lead a global engineering organization that develops capital plans, improves processes,  reduces equipment downtime, and maintains facilities & infrastructure.  Using continuous improvement tools, leads projects to improve equipment cleanliness, debottleneck processes, improve throughput, reduce waste, and decrease costs.  
  • You will assure compliance with Kerry’s design standards.  Leads design groups to assure compliance with safety, quality, and sanitary design standards.  Advises and recommends improvements in the area of operational safety for a project. Responsible for ensuring and promoting operational safety, environmental protection and employee health/industrial hygiene within a project.  Supports completion of hazard analysis studies (PHA’s/HAZOP’s) for existing and new processes.
  • You will develop capacity versus demand models for all processing lines and identifies bottlenecks using overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) models and equipment usage data.  Creates capital plans that lead to capacity improvements on the lines. 
  • You will be responsible for the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) that detail operations of new equipment or revises SOP’s to reflect changes to operations as a result of modifications to existing equipment.
  • You will maintain site teams that write, debug, and troubleshoot process control logic using Kerry standard software including  programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), human-machine interfaces (HMI’s), and reporting, alarming, and trending software. 

  • Assure the commissioning of equipment using installation and operational qualifications  (IQ/OQ) protocols.  Provides teams to assist with the completion of cleaning qualification (CQ) and subsequently trains personnel responsible for operation of equipment.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Minimum BS in Chemical Engineering with at least 10 years of engineering experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry.  
  • Must have experience in project, process, and process control systems.  Well versed in the development of capacity plans, capital projects, OEE development, project schedules, cost estimates, PFD’s, P&ID’s, site and elevation drawings, and utility management.
  • Travel will be required POST COVID
